Modie Park Conservancy History

Modie Park Conservancy HistoryIn 1981 Donald L. Modie donated 6.8 acres to Lewiston for Ruth Rowell Modie Wildlife to honor his wife.

In 1992 Lewiston’s Urban Forestry Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission endorsed the concept of a of non profit citizens group working with the City to plan, develop and maintain Ruth Rowell Modie Wildlife Park. Modie Park Conservancy is the 501 3 c non-profit group that was organized.

Many volunteers have worked to refine the dream, create a plan and begin building that plan in the years since the formation of the conservancy. If you would like to learn more, volunteer or contribute please email info@modiepark.com .
